In 1937, in Srbobran there were 37 pubs, the same number of orchestras, 2 hotels and 2 cinemas. The townspeople, who were not outnumbered by Novi Sad, had a chance to read two daily newspapers in the Serbian language. They travelled to Pest and Vienna by ten registered taxis.
